COVId-19 eidl loan repayment

did you get a covid-19 eidl loan?

The SBA's COVID-19 EIDL deferment period is ending soon and borrowers will begin making payments on their loans in the upcoming months. The information below from the SBA District Offices in Wichita and Kansas City will walk you through the process of using the Capital Access Financial System, Loan service Centers, and answers to some of the questions you may have.

For more information about the Wichita and Kansas City offices, please visit https://www.sba.gov/district/kansas-city and https://www.sba.gov/district/wichita.

Important Details

  • COVID-19 EIDL must be repaid. It cannot be forgiven and it's not a grant.
  • The first payment is due 30 months from the date of the original note.
  • If you have a traditional disaster loan and a COVID-19 EIDL, you cannot combine them.
  • If you have any business structure changes (new ownership, entity update, etc), you must notify the SBA before it happens.
  • To make payments, borrowers must create an account on the SBA Capital Access Financial Systems (CAFS).

payment instructions and information

The Wichita and Kansas City SBA Offices hosted a webinar with the Kansas SBDC to provide instruction and guidance on how to set up payments. View the slides below or download them to view later. A link will be available soon to watch the webinar recording.
