The Great Plains TMC partnered with the Rural Education and Workforce Alliance (REWA) of Dodge City to sponsor Manufacturing Day in October for high school students. Due to restrictions with COVID-19, the high school students are unable to visit local manufacturers to learn more. In an effort to ensure they still receive valuable information, videos were created to highlight the manufacturers and were displayed to the students every Friday in October.
Manufacturing Day is celebrated on the first Friday in October. Each year, several events throughout the country help show the reality of modern manufacturing careers by encouraging thousands of companies and educational institutions around the nation to open their doors to students, parents, teachers and community leaders.
Although COVID-19 has changed all of our lives, this will not stop the celebration of manufacturing in our country! Many events are being held virtually.
